Promoting and Protecting Michigan's Horse Industry Since 1973

LETTER FROM THE MHC President.............

The following court documents bring to a conclusion the legal action that was taken by the delegates of the Michigan Horse Council this past September. This brings this action to a conclusion. The Michigan Horse Council can now move forward in a very positive way, remaining the professional organization that it has always been. Your Michigan Horse Council is made up of very professional Committee Chairs and elected officers who listen to all the delegates. Our delegates will remain focused on the promotion of our horses, education, and our clubs, and will be mission-oriented until it is changed. At the present time, we continue working hard throughout this summer break to advance our new branding process and film our public service  announcements (PSAs).

Just recently Tammy Tyler-Howe and famous daughter KAITLIN, attended the 39th Annual American Youth Council Symposium in Lexington Kentucky and brought back valuable information, which Tammy will share as Chair of the youth activities at EXPO 2017.

We will also be attending the meeting of the Coalition of State Horse Councils and the American Horse Council's National Issues Forum in June, and our Trails Committee Chair Bob Walker and Communications Chair Wendy Walker will be attending the National Trails Conference in North Carolina in July.  Along with all this. we will be supporting all our delegates' club events, which you may access information about on our web site.

This past March, we accomplished a successful Michigan Horse Expo, and this coming year, 2017, promises to be even better, a truly "WOW" event.  Stay tuned.

As Always, It is I who is very lucky to have all these fine persons that make up "The Michigan Council" on board.

Respectfully,

Colonel Don Packard

Michigan Horse Council President
