Saturday Evening Program |
|
“Wonderful World of Horses” The 2008 MHC Horse Expo will feature a special “Wonderful World of Horses” program on Saturday evening, March 8, 2008. The program will take place in the Main Arena at the MSU Pavilion, and is designed to feature the variety and entertaining ways horse folks use their equines (horses, mules, donkeys….large and small)! Since this is the 25th (Silver) Anniversary of the MHC Horse Expo, we are endeavoring to make this program as special as possible. Included will be feature performances by the Canadian Cowgirls Drill Team; T.J. Casey, cowboy poet, singer and song writer, and several other exciting and unique demonstrations and performances. There are a few openings remaining for specialty appearances. If your horse has received special honors for unique performances, or your group is involved in different “horse sports”, please send a resume describing this, and what type performance you, or your group, could present. If your breed organization wishes to present a varied program about the breed, this could be the place! Remember, this is designed for audience appeal, so different and fast-paced activities that generate the most audience interest, will be granted first consideration. The program will be limited to 2-1/2 hours in length, and individual (or group) performances will be 5, 10, 15 or a maximum of 20 minutes in length, depending on the presentation. Please send resume to: MHC Horse Expo, Marilyn Graff, Administrator, 7325 Holton Road, Holton, MI 49425; fax: 231-821-2487, or e-mail to: expo@michiganhorsecouncil.com. All proposals MUST be in writing, and be received prior to January 1, 2008; however, those received the earliest will be given first consideration. Proposals will be screened, and selected on the basis of variety and interest for the complete program. Again the program will be limited to 2-1/2 hours, so unfortunately, we may not be able to include everyone that is interested in participating. We look forward to hearing from many of you….please pass the word along to anyone you think might be interested.
