• 10:00 am       Keynote Speaker & Training
• 10:30 am       Visiting Offices
• Noon              Lunch, Recap of Visits & Thank you
• 1:30 pm         Guided Group Capitol Tour
• 3:30 pm         Guided Group Historical Museum Tour

If students are attending this event, Michigan Horse Council can provide a leadership training letter for the school to detail the excellent hands-on learning opportunity being provided.   

Join in on a Tour of our State Capitol!
1:30 - 2:45 pm

• Meet at the Capitol steps
• Plan to visit as a group with your friends, equestrian team, 4H Club, etc.
• Each tour can take a capacity of 45 people

 
Learn about the:

• Capitol building and the history 
• How our Michigan government formed and developed over the years
• Growth of the Michigan government and expanding into downtown more 
• Michigan history
• Restoration of the Capitol building to it's original condition

Equine Legislative Day 2022 - September 21
Hosted on the State Capitol Lawn

• 8:30 am         Vendors Set Up
• 9:30 am         Check in and Breakfast (sponsored by Quarter Moon Farms, LLC)
• 10:00 am       Keynote Speaker & Equine Leaders  
• 11:00 am       Visit with Vendors, Networking & Lawn Activities
• Noon              Awards with legislators and equine leaders at the Capitol steps. BBQ lunch provided by The Smoke Doctor
• 1:00 pm         Keynote Speaker & Equine Leaders

• Helping with event preparation and joining biweekly planning meetings
• Volunteering the day of the event
• Attending the event and bringing friends/guests with you to learn more about the horse industry as well as meeting state legislatures.
